James Grasdal is a compulsive doodler, which has led naturally to an ink-stained life of cartooning and solitude.

Beginning his career as an editorial cartoonist and illustrator, his work has appeared in newspapers and magazines across North America.

James has designed and illustrated close to 20 books, including The Chase Duffy Series(written by Dawn Ius).

Most recently he has completed images for an animated version of “Fields of Home”, the first book in the Chase Duffy series. The finished cartoon will be released in early 2021.

When he isn’t drawing alone in his studio, James can be found teaching kids of all ages how to draw and write their own cartoons and comics.
